Speaker Fitment assurance for FD3S. Links inside!

Hi guys, I am about ready to order some front speakers for my car. They will be going in R1/Base front speaker brackets. After some research I found that I cannot fit 6.5 inch speakers with a depth greater than 2.5in.. I found these to match my rear speakers..

Robot Check Robot Check

2-1/16th inch mounting depth

Amazon.com : Infinity Reference 6032si 6.5-Inch, Shallow Mount High Performance 150-Watt Two-Way Loudspeaker (Pair) : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Infinity Reference 6032si 6.5-Inch, Shallow Mount High Performance 150-Watt Two-Way Loudspeaker (Pair) : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics

1-15/16th inch mounting depth

Of course I would like to go with the speaker with a larger magnet. I was hoping someone can assure me that the speakers in the first link 6032cf would fit without a need of an aftermarket bracket.

Thanks!
-Andrew

You would have to get an adapter. The 6.5 are too big for the stock bracket up front. I just pulled mine out.

I just installed my new system after 10+ years on the old one. I bought PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made and needed to add 1/4" to keep them off the glass. So I made a wood bracket to go around. Threw in some JL Audio C5-650's up front... and JL Audio TR-570-CXI in back and a 12" sub. and a polk audio PA D5000.5 amp powering everything. Great sound all around.
