SoCal Aftermarket Seat Bracket Tester?
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone in the SoCal area (LA?) is interested in being a seat bracket tester for aftermarket seats (Sparco, Momo, Recaro, etc.). He builds quality brackets for tons of other cars and has done a coupla one offs for the FD. He told me he'd be interested in offering brackets for us but needs a car to check measurement (he's aware of the tight fit we have). He said he'd buy lunch for the volunteer (not sure if he was kidding) but sounds like a cool mech ("I don't need no stink'n computer").
Anyhoo, his brackets are $65 and works with the stock sliders. From a pix of his work for the NSX, it claims that he provides the anchors for use with OEM seat belts.

I'd volunteer but the drive from Vancouver, BC may is too far. ;P

Yea I talked to Wedge before. I needed to get brackets made for some BRIDE seats. They do great work. They have made a bunch of diffrent applications for many of my friends. The problem is that he needed the car for a couple of days and i couldn't let go of the car for that long.

There are a couple of places that can bring in BRIDE seats in the west coast. But they cost an arm and a leg and a ********.
I can't say who yet but there is a company who will be the master distributor for BRIDE in the US shortly after SEMA. They have a new pricing structre which will allow BRIDE to be price competativly in the US. Just wait a few months.

Found out that my friend had his brackets made by wedge for his Sparco Pro 2000 in his FD.
He said it took wedge 2 weeks to figure out how to make the brackets. His was the first 3rd gen that wedge ever worked on.
He said that he might be willing to let Wedge copy the brackets that they made for him if they make it worth it for him. We'll see. Otherwise someone is going to have to lose thier car for a bit.
