smae color paint

If you were to get your car painted the same color, and you did all the prep work. This would include sanding priming the car. Would it be necessary to redo the engine compartment, and the door jams? And also does anyone one have a standard ballpark figure for this kind of job (assuming all the prep that was to be done was done by you)?

thanx

if you were painting the same color, there should be no reason to redo the door jams. and i am sure that you could get away without redoing the engine bay too.

Remember the over all finish is quality here. If your throwing something together who cares you know? if you spend a little more time you'll see that your efforts will go rewarded. Like me, i took EVERYTHING out of my car it was just a shell, i sanded everything, it took me 2 months just for sanding and priming, and i even painted the inner structure of the car. im not saying you have to go this far, but door jams, and trunk and under hood are minor, if you do it you will be happy.
