Show me black FD's with smoked front signals..

Like the thread states, I'd like to see, (preferably black, but reallly dark would help too I guess), FD's with these smoked front signals. I've seen BB's with the black housings & am currently @ a tossup whether to go with them, the fully smoked style, or just de-oxidize some stockers. I'm concerned that the fully smoked set would be dark/disappear with black paint & if so, could rule them out. I think the black housings with stock lenses over-top might look really cool, but of course nobody makes that combo.. (since for some reason, everybody thinks ultra-clear = JDM/Euro. ) As always, thanks in advance!

Cool, thanks man. Personally I like the stockers, (so long as they're crystal clear, which mine aren't lol), but since the tails are smoked from the factory, think I may like the same effect up front too.

..and looks good thetastelingers

Looks killer turbodrx7!

Keep the pics coming guys. Still can't decide if it's too much black for my application, since I'm not really going for the "total blackout"look/am gonna have to stay with stock rims for awhile yet it seems etc. If it's not asking too much, it'd be great if somebody could snag a pic of what they look like lit-up too, (as in just park lights as well as what the flasher looks like when illuminated).

Oh, and thetastelingers, just an opinion.. but I think some type of chin spoiler would look great on your SSM, to line up/flow with the lower line the splashguards create. Pretty sure I'm going with Racing Beat's contribution in that category.

Sorry, it was raining last nite, so I couldnt get pictures of the bumper lenses, the ones i have are no where near as dark as the ones on the black fd pic, theyre much lighter like the one shown on the ssm fd. I don't think it will rain later today, so I should have some pictures up tonight.

Can't get any good pics right now, but I took a few just now to show that the turn signal lights still light up great with tinted lenses.

I also have amber leds in the parking lights

Don't mind the oil leak in the last pic

Thanks shmacklepap. Still thinking maybe they're too dark for what I'm after, but definitely look good! (I like the orange inner bulb too) I'm guessing your chin spoiler's '99 spec? If so, it's got me reconsidering the RB I'd originally planned on.. (I like how both match the curve of the front end, unlike the original, which somewhat squares it off)

It sounds like maybe you've got the non-tinted black housing style I linked in the opening post phrost. (which I realize now that it's hard to see they're not tinted in said pic) That's Ok though, since I'm considering those as well. Another idea I had was to get those & tint them myself, but not quite as dark as the other type.

I had found the pair of tinted bumper lights from a guy on ebay for $25 shipped a little darker then what I had wanted, but I still have the factory ones in crappy condition if they ever need to go back on.

The lip is actually a Shine-auto mazdaspeed lip I agree with you, I don't like how the factory lip and '99 lip square off the front of the beautiful curved lines of the body.

Here's some pics of mine, sorry I couldn't get any shots from further away, its on jack stands behind my house lol.
Also yes I know stupid bug eyed lights, I should have the rest of the parts needed for my re-a replica lights within the next 5 weeks And yea the bumper isn't fully attached yet either, or clean for that matter.

Mine are definitely smoked, just not black out smoked, maybe the lens isn't smoked, but just the reflector in the back? Not really sure got 'em used on the forum.

Yeah, I see whatcha mean, though I was referring to the lens itself. Still can't decide which I like better. Oh, and good to hear the bugz are going by-by, haha.

Finally somebody that agrees with me! I still prefer the RB, (as it doesn't have any sharp edges to it), but am not sure what to think about the sides being thicker than the center section.. so I may go with the MS. Another decision I need to make soon, dangit! Maybe RB not allowing shipping & billing addresses to be different is a blessing in disguise. (or I'd have already ordered the RB) Decisions decisions!

Thanks again for the pics guys.
