Shaving Bump Strip on the FC

Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone else has decided to shave the bumper strip that goes around the car. I'm fine with the body its self. i did fiber bondo long and short strand...blah blah blah, but i was wondering what you did with the bumpers since the strip is actually molded into the urethane bumper. If you've got pics don't be afraid to post.

Thanks!

IMO it looks horrid without the strips.

And unless you plan on putting a body kit on it, it will only look good with one on.

The front and rear bumpers have the strips molded into them so its just best to complete the look.

This isnt some 2000+ model year car with completely smooth sides.

Thanks for the input...however i'm asking people who have or plan to do this to comment not those opposed to it. while i think eveyones oppinion is important i was more looking for guidance on how to shave the bumpers...and yes as stated before i know that they are molded into the bumper. and in my oppinion a classic can always use a modern face lift! i suppose you are only using technology from the mid to late 80's for performance as well...
