VA seibon carbon fiber hoods question

I could not perform a search. Im looking into getting one of the seibon carbon fiber hoods and i have two questions.

1) Other than looks, is there any reason to take one hood over another?

2) Where can you find matching carbon fiber washer nubs? You know the ones on the hood that squirt the window washer fluid?

Thanks for any help.

1. No. But make sure you are getting a real Seibon made hood. Many say "Seibon style" and they are cheap knock offs. I know of only one bad hood (started cracking) from real Seibon and that was on my friends Acura RSX. Other than that, all others I have seen have been good in terms of fitment and quality.

2. I have no idea. I think most just delete that. Use the pump to mist your FMIC or OC. ha

1. If you have an aftermarket shock tower bar you may want to make sure the vents will clear it before buying, since some of the bars sit higher than the stock one. The vents on some of those hoods are more aggressive than others and dip down further into the bay.

2. I have no idea either, I've never seen any. I don't think it will look bad to have black squirters on top of CF though.

I guess I'll follow the pattern:

1. like the others said, make sure youre getting a real seibon brand. and yes, seibon has a pretty good track record for making good quality hoods.

2. i've only seen "carbon fiber style" sprayers that had LED's in them. i got a set of plain black ones (had to check 3 different stores autozones though...) for my hood.

Thanks for all the help, I would think that the oem ones wouldnt be to bad, i have a set of red ones i can sand down and paint black. Im gonna keep my eyes open for some carbon fiber ones though.

Willjs7, Not that it really matters much but im from Tallahassee as well. Born and Raised left home a few years ago when I joined the Navy. Theres no place in the world like Tallahassee I cant wait to get back this fall and watch the Noles play.
