I did a search and found that the only seats that fit the FD without major fab work is the Corbeaue Forza. Has anyone recently installed aftermarket seats and can offer some advice on what else fits?

 

Some bride and sparco seats fit no probs.........aslo the buddyclub seats fit without hassle.

Recaro SPG's requires custom mounting, but will fit. I think Rotary Extreme will offer brackets to bolt to the stock rails soon.

 

sparco pro 2000 fits, just barely, but it fits.

 

I installed a set of black rally r tenzo buckets in mine. used the original seat braclets from the stock seats and made a nice solid steel frame to match the bottom of the seat to the rails. not too hard. I got lucky ( had them from Acura Integra I sold). tried them and it worked. only complaint is they rub the door panel a little and you have to shut the door firmly. not bad. difference is fantastic. I ain't going nowwhere and they slide and recline and are in perfect alignment. check it.

 

I found that the Tenzo's for 250 each were way more firm and comfortable than any sparcos I have ever sat in. price is reasonable not stupid. I would look more. you can find seats that fit they just have to be narrow enough do some measurements and call up some manufacturers and cross-reference and see if they have a bracket. always the hardest part.

 

bride makes a couple of seats that are supposed to have narrow enough 'wings' to fit inside. they also have rails for the FD.

 

Rotary Extreme now offers the american and japanese versions of the Recaro SPG. The difference is that in the Japanese version, the shoulder area is a little less wide then the american version, so it fits a little bit better. But most of the issue of different seats in an FD is from the brackets.

 

Why do japanese manufacturers always have to have finky-*** names? I'd love to have a set, but there's no way in hell i'm going to have a great big "Buddy club" embroidered on my seats.

Sparco Evo's fit as well as the Corsa's, but the wings on both hit the door a little.
