Well, pretty well but I only have about 800 miles on the seats as I am breaking the engine in. The bolsters seem much more durable that the stock leathers so I don't think it will crack like the stockers....

I also bought a new seat cushion for the drivers side.....
so nothing "appears" loose. Everything seems to be as good as when it was installed.
I think the key is having the installers pull it as tight as possible. I emphasized this to the upholstery shop.

However, the only way to get to it is to remove the seat cover and undo the fasteners to get to the strap. So that mean you would need someone to redo the hog rings after you remove the covers.
I would have tightened mine also but I didnt have anything to redo the rivet.

I wonder if there's enough room to cut the strap and stitch it together again (thus removing some length). That is, if the stitch can be hidden behind the plastic piece.
Thanks for the info.

I think you just missed out on the group buy by leatherseats.com I would email them ASAP to see if you can get in (look in the group buy section)
When I was looking into re-covering my seats I had considered a material called ultrasuede. This material however would almopst triple the cost of the seats. The benefits are that it is waterproof, breathable, and indestructable. Therefore unlike the R1 seats, they don't get that funny glazed smooth look. RonkMiller does custom jobs for this but it runs almost 1000 bux I think. I would do a search for his name.
However, I know leatherseats has a suede material that is similar, but don't know about how well it wears. Fd3boost had his center sections done in suede and outer parts done in leather with seats from leatherseats.com
Good luck!

Hey guys... I just had my seats redone with the Katzkin... they came out pretty good. I'm actually heading back into the shop next week to have my seat belt clips re-installed (thanks to 7racer for the heads up). For some reason it never occured to me to look on the INSIDE of the seat covers to see if they were simply attached. From the outside they look like they are firmly integrated with the leater.
I also just installed black leather/red stitching shift boots from redlinegoods.com, last night infact. They went on fairly easily... a little cutting here and there... and if the clips that hold both boots on weren't so beat up - I wouldn't have had to break out the glue.
I'll post a pick or two when everything is done!
