Sealed Box Or Not?
I have an 89' TII, with a pretty low budget 12" Rockford Fosgate sub and 300w amp for just the sub. I need to find a decently cheap box, but I was wondering if I should get a sealed box or not? I will be playing a lot of rap, with lots of low bass, as well as some old rock stuff too, so its a big mix, but I mainly want the sub for low bass stuff like rap. So which one would sound better, and can anyone reccommend something I could get cheap online?

I personally like sealed boxes. I like the bass to stop between hits, not keep vibrating the whole entire time. Everybody installs ported boxes but it always sounds like crap. But some subs, like some Rockfords, need to have ported boxes to perform its best. Just email Rockford and ask them.
Also a sealed box usually has to be bigger than a ported box for the same speaker.
