Screwed up my subs

So I was driving back from my parents house when CD player in my car stereo died. I still had the radio but the player was dead. Now I had been thinking about getting a new stereo for a while so I got an el cheapo dual (yes I know they are lame) but it had an aux out and it was fairly inexpensive. Now my problem is this; I wired it all up and everything works fine except I can't get the subs to work. I have a rockford fosgate 200watt mono amp with 2 12in subs. I checked the fuse and it is still good. I also checked the connections as well as anything else (I don't have the allen wrench that fits into the amp) I have the amp connectors in properly but I still can't get the subs to work. Any ideas why this might be happening.

Are you sure the amp is on? Check the remote wire and rca jacks going from the deck to amp. James

Ensure amp is being told to turn on. If there are doubts while cd is playing disconnect current REM line and bridge power from the 12+ terminal to the rem terminal. (BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE REM LINE COMING FROM THE HEAD UNIT!!) If subs play you have a bad rem source. Do not leave amp this way, it will stay on all night and drain battery.

If amp turns on but no sound check the Input\Gain on amp to ensure it is not turned down.

If both of these have been met you are reciving no signal, ensure the RCA's are pluged in to a correct output.

Aux is normaly a secondary line based on input from a secondary source, ensure sub RCA's are connected to Rear\Sub\ Or Non-Fading output.

turns out I didn't have the wire that tells the subs to turn on conntected. Once I spliced those two wires together the subs fired right up. Thanks for the suggestions, you helped me move in the right direction.

basically I was dumb and didn't realize the orange wire went to the subs I was like uhhhh. Then I went back and followed the wire and I realized it went to the amp so I thats when I tested it and sure enough. Only problem is tweaking it cause that bass is LOUD now lol.
