SO, ive been debating on how to go about painting my car a nice smooth satin black and havent really got a straight answer.

I plan on doing this in sections as in taking body parts off and spraying them in the ghetto trash bag paint booth.

Ive seen shitty jobs and rarely saw any clean matte blacks done.

Can anyone correct me if im doing this wrong??

ITs all wet sanded

220 grit sand
primer,
sand 400/500
laydown first coat of satin black
sand with 800 grit
laydown final coat

 

I think like 99% of "quality" matte/satin jobs you see out there are actually wraps.

 

^ true, PPG makes some nice satin and matte top coats

 

use flattner in your clear
