RX8 **** question?
Just ordered an rx8 5 speed **** for my FD, my question is this:
It lights up when dash lights are on the rx8, but on jt-imports or some similar website i read "only works on rx8"
Why is this, is there no way of taking the power off the ash tray light to run the lights on this??
Cheers guys
Ryan

I heard around, there is no wire for the shift **** itself, and that there is a built in light in the shifter its self. This what actually lights the ****, so its only J-spec models since I guess the RX8 here doesnt have the light bulb in it. So thats why it wont work.

i got it from UK Mazda. Cant believe you guys have to pay $250, i got it for £80 which is what, $140? And you lot normally get things a fraction of the price. Odd
anyhow it took an hour or two to fit it as i was being careful with my early xmas stocking pressie, and i love it now! feels fantastic! very heavy as well!
You get a load of wiring, sticky foam bits, and a gaitor with is:

in the UK it was £70, so thats what $120ish? Took me about 1 hour to wire it because i wasted a bit of time removing two of the plastic male and female connectors getting to the wires, pretty simple really im going to do a write-up one day soon when i get around to it
