I guarantee that that kit is a cheap POS that will require a lot of fitment work (= $$$).

Oh, and since you're so set on bragging about your $9k find, I guarantee it's not in as good of shape mechanically or aesthetically as a "normal" priced FD. If it was, the seller wouldn't have sold it for so little. I find it pretty funny you keep mentioning that the seller drove it four straight hours, like it was some kind of special achievement or something. Any beat-to-**** POS FD should be able to do that.

Anyway, good luck with your cheap kit. I hope it turns out better than I think it will. (not being sarcastic)

'You want to be respected on this forum but you are coming off as just another ricer boy in a Civic..... '

I'm guessing the respect of someone who can't respect others isn't of great concern to him. It's a big assumption that he even cares about your level of 'respect' for him.

And how ridiculous to say that the seller wouldn't have sold it so cheap if it was mechanically sound. By that logic noone can ever get a bargain (or be ripped off)and everyone always sells everything at the exact price it is worth. (clearly ridiciulous).

And he's not trying to brag about his $9K purchase, you and the rest of the people here who have slated him ever since he asked for advice has meant he's had to try and justify his purchase.

As far as I can see he's on a tight budget but wants to improve the look of his car. I agree that getting a kit for $500 is ambitious, and that a cheaper kit will end up costing more.

I concur with most of the other constructive replies - I'd consider buying a Burnout front and rear bumper from Shine Auto

https://www.rx7club.com/shineautoproject-161/fd3s-ks-auto-burnout-style-full-aero-kit-now-available-560157/

Would push budget up to 850$ but you end up with a FD which looks as good as any on here. Failing that, just buy the front bumper for $450.

yea, 80% of the guy on here think just b/c u buy a FD for less than 12k its a POS.. i beg to differ, if u have a bit of patience, and just search for one, you'll get one, my car is not a fixer-upper, it has ware issues just like any other FD.. the only serious problem on the car is the oil gauge, but as i have done research and have had friendly advice on this forum, (appreciate everyone who has helped and not been an *** about it ) that it is the sending unit. i have yet to clean the sending unit b/c im looking for a good manual to get for taking apart a rotary engine. and for the body kit, i have found several body kits, they're all made out of fiberglass, 85% of them, that i see, and i want to mention a body kit, maybe u guys have heard of it, C-west body kit?? ill leave a link so u guys can check it out. (BTW - thanks RX7Hunter 4 being a respectable/non-sarcastic member on this forum)

i was wondering if any1 knew how well this body kit fit??

Essentially any aftermarket kit needs a lot of love to get it to fit right.

(That's not from personal experience that's what every body shop I've asked has said).

For $500 the fitment will not be perfect and if you want it to look the part you can at least double that amount.

With pretty much every aftermarket bodykit there are slight issues here and there with fitment. If you can put up with that then go for it.

No direct info on that particular kit though, sorry

if you aint got money for it...then either 1. save for something nice and something you really like or 2. dont do it at all and save the embarassment

Good job disrespecting one of our well respected members....you cant come on to a forum where this question has been asked 100 times and complain about something being to expensive... This car isnt for you if you cant afford to pay for quality parts..it wont last.

And i dont see to many "civics kicking fd ***".

As someone said earlier you will pay more money for the kit to fit right if you buy cheap fiberglass parts and they will crack very easily. The origin kit i posted earlier is only $800 for everything and has excellent fitment.

haha, i see civics whoop up on all sorts of cars.. yes, i own a FD, but sadly to say, u guys think they're some kind of, 2 million dollar car.. i can afford the car, i just dont want to buy a body kit, that is worth more than the car, u feel me?? and does the kit bolt-on or do u have to have it proffessionally put on??

i look at the origin and what site did u get it at, where its 800 bucks?? everywhere i look, its 2000+.. link maybe??

thanks again. ( dont tell me, what i can and cant afford)

and for one of the ut-most respected members, he sure has a big mouth on him. so for i care, he's not gonna get any respect from me, if he runs his mouth like that to me.
