Your not going to get a good kit for that price enless you like that ebay garbage which is exactlly what it is.
You good get a nice copy of the 99 front end for around that price though.

be lucky to get a nice front bumper for 500, but the nicest kit i can think of that is relatively cheap is origin

kits about $800, your only other option is to keep checking the for sale section

Instead of shopping for price, then a body kit.

Why don't you look at the body kit first,...and then determine what prices are?

If you buy a relatively inexpensive body kit and does not fit correctly: you will end up paying a lot more $$ to get it fit right than a quality piece.

In the end the cheap kit ends up being more expensive when it's all said and done. Nevermind that the cheap piece is most likely made out inferior materials (thinner fiberglass than is prone to crack). In other words so you paid just the same or more for an inferior product.

I don't mean to flame but do you really own an FD? If you do, you should know that just about ANYTHING is $$$.

$500 for a full body kit? Trying...to...suppress...the mirth. Check in the group buys for Shine Auto Project stuff...about the best mix of price and quality you could ask for...even then $500 will get you laughed off the forums...$500 for an FC bodykit is laughable...spend that money on something to make your car faster! =D

Sorry...this is just an absurd post that could have been and needed to be researched much better...apologies for any borderline rudeness.

Cheap kit = cheap construction. Either they use thin fiberglass OR it'll be a lot of excess fiberglass.

Thin fiberglass = breaks too easily.
Excess fiberglass = heavy bumper. Heavy bumper = sagging bumper and also breaks easily at the mounting points.

How about you leave the beautiful original design in place instead of ******* it up with cheap *** aftermarket crap? $500 for a urethane body kit??? Please pass around what you are smoking, cause it must be good stuff.

For any kind of quality kit, you are looking at $1400+....and then you have to have it painted and fitted.....

well, im looking for buying it brand new, im not one to buy new things, i think "used" is just as good as new. maybe a little worn, but all in all, it'll end up just like it. so, yea, i believe u can find a full decent kit for $500. u just have to find the right person, like u guys said i wouldnt be able to find a FD for under $12000, and i certainly did. there's a few TLC here and there, as u see in my posts. but its things that wear out on everybody's car, it seems. so all in all, i made myself a pretty nifty deal, and when i get my body kit for $500 ill post it up. thanks anyway.

you want to get a quality used COMPLETE body kit for less than $500? right...

As far as you paying less than $12k for an FD: People most likely said that you won't get a decent FD for less than $12K. I read your threads and IMO you didn't get a decent FD. You got a fixer upper which an FD priced around $12k usually is. So in other words you got what you paid for.

my FD is in GREAT condition, its a $13,000 dollar car, the guy needed money ASAP, and we found him, the car runs and drives, its got minor TLC here an there. just simple stuff that acts up on everybody's FD. the oil gauge needs to be cleaned, the idle senor needed to be messed w/ a little, which i did, and now its good, and now the only thing wrong is its popping when it idles.. thats it, $9000. the dude drove it for a straight 4 hours to deliver it to me, no problems, now u tell me, i didnt get a decent rex for 9g's.. HAHA>. please.

ill look into it, your not the first person who has mentioned a 99 Rex factory body, but yea, if i put a body kit on it, it will be multi-colored for a while, but my Rex isnt my daily driver, i got another car 4 that.. =) my 7 is my cruiser/ soon to be street race car. when the engine needs to be rebuilt, its gonna be REBUILT! lol.. but, appreciate the post w/out sarcasm and smartass remarks, thanks.

whatever you say. But from your previous threads your FD sounds far from GREAT. Maybe your definition of great differs from mine. I'll just leave it at that.

If you actually find a decent quality body kit for <$500. More power to you .

You want to be respected on this forum but you are coming off as just another ricer boy in a Civic..... Here's some advice - if you can't paint the body kit, don't put it on! Why would anyone drive around with unpainted parts?

I guarantee that that kit is a cheap POS that will require a lot of fitment work (= $$$).

Oh, and since you're so set on bragging about your $9k find, I guarantee it's not in as good of shape mechanically or aesthetically as a "normal" priced FD. If it was, the seller wouldn't have sold it for so little. I find it pretty funny you keep mentioning that the seller drove it four straight hours, like it was some kind of special achievement or something. Any beat-to-**** POS FD should be able to do that.

Anyway, good luck with your cheap kit. I hope it turns out better than I think it will. (not being sarcastic)

umm yea...whatever man ^

I don't see why people can't just try to give good advice and leave it at that

rynberg- I am sure you forgot more about FD's than most people will ever know, but damn why must you always have a holier than thou attitude???

The kid did buy a 9k$ car so if he wants a cheap kit just lead him as best you can.

I would say buy the least expensive 99 spec bumper you can find
