Running amp qire, question?

Hey Im running my amp wire and in all the other installs, I have always worried about the wiring interfearing with the ECU.

If I run my 4guage through the firewall near the stock wiring, am I going to hurt anything?

Anyone have any problems there??
I dont have enough to run it around the other side. Im debaiting using the stock groment and running it right next to it, or drilling a small hole.

You don't have enough? I assume that your amps are on the pass side? If that's the case, how do you not have enough? The battery's on the driver's side, so if you run it through the drivers side, you're still crossing over. (That's what I recommend and have done in previous installs. I don't like any possibility of intrroducing ANY interference to ANYTHING if I can help it).

4 gauge for most apps is fine. I'd drill a new hole that you can get a new grommet through. That way you'll properly seal everything and ensure you don't have the wire rubbing on bare metal.

you can put the wire directly over the ECU cables, and it wont make the slightest bit of difference if your battery's in good nick (it acts as a stabilser for the output voltage from the altenator)

the one you got to worry about is your RCA connection. Make sure they don't pass over a lot of wires. Usually when installing a system you want to keep your RCA away from the rest of the wires any wire.

I have twisted pair rca cables to use, so it shouldnt be a problem. Plus this is going to be a very simple system.

are you going for a 2+1 setup? (2 components, 1 sub)

That's the best option for SQ

Why yes I am. Single sub in the rear, im choosing between right side, or in the middle. I want to be able to get my spare tire, but still have a nice box.

Have a rectangular box that spreads the whole width of the backing of the back seats, that way you can have it use minimal space, but still have the correct volume.

But if you want to be fancy, you could make a false-floor that covers the whole of the boot, and make it so it's hinged so you can still get acess to the spare wheel/toolkit
