So are these still available? And are there any that remove the functionality / mechanism?

looks good to me! i always wanted to do this when i was actually building my car, but i couldnt find anyone who sold a CF sunroof plug/replacement for the FD.

Over the last 10years that i have been doing bodywork, ive came to terms with myself that any/all aftermarket "oem fit" CF or fiberglass body panels...WILL NEED some fine tuning of some sort to get that proper fitment no matter how legit the manufacturer. Its all just a matter of how creative you can get while keeping it clean in order to make it fit like it should. I dont even wanna talk about how many hours i have tied up in my pettitt flares to get the correct fit and look while making everything structurally sound.

PS, i dont know how, but i scored a new OEM sunroof weather seal from a mazda dealership for $15.99!! Someone screwed up somewhere and i wasnt about to try to find out who! super stoked haha

Its hard to tell on the sunroof cars, but if you look at a R1 non sunroof FD you can see the two mild humps the roof has over the passenger and driveside with the depression going down the center of the car. This same curvature is on the sunroof cars and i can only imagine what a pain in the *** you guys had to go through. Fiberglass and carbon fiber composites have an awesome (sarcasm) way of doing whatever they want upon curing no matter how spot on the mold is.

As previously asked, are more of these available?

after the fixes with Ronins support, these two humps are still evident.

They are still available, but the dual sided carbon will likely not be offered. Check the Ronin site if you are interested.
