I can guarantee you that with that few LED's it's not nearly going to be bright enough.

Like many in here, I also don't like these ebay taillights however my 99spec taillight conversion didn't go as I planned due to the guy helping me rushing it and ruining it. You can't really tell when you first look at it but I know the minor stuff ups are there and it bugs me so I'm looking for an alternative.

Since ebay taillights are cheap I'm planning to buy a pair and tint them with black smoke overlays. I don't think anyone can tell the difference between ebay (w/ smoke tint) and oems during the day since they are both black.

I am just not sure if they will be bright enough at nighttime with black tints. Anyone tried this?

Above is kind of loud thinking, my plan b is just buying oem 99 specs and be done with it.
