why does the hood lift up at the top in the pic? Is that a fitment issue? If so I would never buy a fiberglass hood.

 

That hood is shimmed up. Usually a "JDM" thing, but it's meant to increase heat flow out of the engine.

But on topic, I like that wing a lot too. I'd be down for a replica.

wow that wing is incredibly ugly. the hood shimming thing actually causes air to flow INTO the engine bay. it does reduce heat but the aerodynamics are questionable. you can do it to your stock hood very easily. whats up with the front wheel vents on that car?

It was made by a Japanese company called Top Fuel, and they discontinued it a while back. It was part of a kit to make the FD look like a Viper (front bumper was also made).

funny more people are talking about the rest of the car... i'm talking about the wing guys... in the other thread, a lot of people, including myself, fell in love w/ it because it was effective, yet not big and ricey

Anyways, for some reason, that wing just doesn't flow to me... maybe it's because the car has so many additional aero parts on it that clash.

 

check out Tokyo Extreme Racer for PS2. Flip through the body kits for the FD and you'll see the whole kit...wing, skirts, bumper and all.
