replacing rear speakers (FD touring)
I've searched a lot but haven't found anything yet. What are my options for rear speakers after removing the bose stuff back there? I was thinking 6x9's for more bass (i don't want subs) but where could i put them?

There are no rear speakers with the Touring or Bose option package. You haven't explained what you have installed allready, so i'm not shure what to sugest. If you are still using the Bose tuner then you will need Bose speakers. There are no rear brackets. You will have to buy or fabricate. 6x9 would require fabrication and won't give you bass, will give you mid but I suppose you could call that mid bass. You also don't have a speaker cover, buy or fabricate. I would sugest a 3-way seperate system with a 6" or 7" woofer running off of the same crossover. front high speakers in the doors and woofer in a fabricated something were oem rear speakers would be for non Bose system and a clean 2-cha amp. If you don't want an amp then 5x7 in the rear and 5" in the front running off of the head unit but make shure the speakers are extremely efficient with min power being as close to 1wat as possible.

If you are planning on getting an aftermarket head unit you can do what I did and add on rear 5x7s using factory brackets (base or R1 models have them I believe). I picked up a used set. It all really depends on how far you want to go though, if you are removing the stock bose subwoofer you are going to loose a lot of sound quality, and I do not know how to add on speakers to that head unit.
It is a vicious cycle though, I started with a new head unit, then added speakers and subs, then better amps then dvd, then... etc... you get the point. Most importantly I would set goals and budget everything.
