Replacing the rear Bose amps/speaker
I recently picked up a 93 touring and the only sound I get from the rear speakers is a low (but consistant) brap brap noise, even with the sound turned down.
I'm guessing it's either the rear amps or the speaker(s?) as the door speakers and center channel work fine. Should I just pick up a used set of rear amps/speaker and swap them out?
Most of the threads I've found about Bose deal with removing the system or bypassing it to install a new headunit. I went through that pain with the Bose on my Miata so I'm just looking to stay stock for now.
Also, where are the rear amps and speaker assembly? I was having a hard time finding it last night, and the workshop manual doesn't have a lot to say about where it is. Apologies if this has been covered a million times before, I just wasn't having luck finding someone with a similar situation.

Hi pr0k. The rear amps are located in the acoustic wave it self… I'll post some pictures later, if it helps.
Regards.
BTW, could you take some pictures of the amplifiers, with and without the heatshield? I believe my amps are switched with the door amps… thanks.

On the left of the wave, where the two speakers face each other, just under them is where the connection is. Dissconnect it, unscrew the fasteners so you can lift out the wave, and just under the wave speakers are the amps. You DO NOT have to open the wave itself to fiddle with the amps. There are two.
