Replacing FD front speakers

Ok, maybe I am being bone headed, but I had no REAL problems with the rear speakers. As far as the fronts, how do you remove them? I just popped off the speaker grill and only see 2 screws. I removed them, but the speakers still don't come out. Do I have to pry them like the rears?

Taking the door panel out is pretty easy. The speaker is in a small enclosure, glued and screwd. It is not that hard to take out. The tricky part is to find a speaker that the magnet will fit in the box. I used a rockford 6.5"component. Here is a pic....

Here is a link showing you how to remove the door panels... http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereor...zRX7FDrPnl.htm
Don't be *** like me, I broke one of the clips on the passenger side door, because it was stuck. Just push it foward, and the door should slide off.

Last night I gave up and put it back together. I had all the screws out on the passenger door, and I still couldn't get it to lift off. Seemed like it was stuck, or something I was missing on the upper front part of the door.

Chris, you should have called me on this one. I've redone all my speakers and have removed the door panels.

The panels have to come off to remove the front speakers. It's really not too difficult once you've done it.

Call me sometime and I'll help you out.

David

I actually figured it out today David. Actually, I didn't figure it out on my own, I found a post that showed the "secret screw" behind the window switch. So I got my front speakers in now. That takes one thing off my 4000000000 things I need to do to my car. I have a damn parts room in moy house where I store all the parts I ordered and have yet to install.
