replacement for Bose speakers in FD

I did a search and could not find the following info on Bose speaker system. When keeping the Bose radio, CD and tape deck and doing an upgrade to aftermarket speakers, is there a problem with 1) the floating ground of the Bose system and 2) the amp system which powers the speakers? I would like to keep the stock speaker location and speaker grills/covers and replace just the speakers.

You can simply swap out the speakers, I changed the door speakers with some Rockfords and I had no problems... I also used the 2 storage bins in the back as speaker boxes and put some 6x9's Alpine Type R's and I got some Good bass out of that....Way better than the other method everyone using with those side pockets, (less area, its not enclosed) Just my opinion.

speaker switch

Pistonkilla1- is there anything peculiar you found when you switched the rear speakers that are in the acoustic wave snakes?

Well, I was going to swap them out too for 2 12" alpine Type R's with 2 V12 Alpine amps but after changing the door speakers and adding the 6x9's I was pretty happy, the acoustic system works pretty nice and looks neat and makes a decant amount of bass especially in that very small int. of the RX7. If I would have added those subs, it would have been insanely LOUD with bass because of the small area.
