Releasing Fiberglass

I started a project to convert the bin area into a fiberglass enclosure (I really dont give a **** about your opinion on how bad its goin to sound, so if your goin to say im wasting my time do me a favor and dont post) i was just wondering whats a good house-hold item that can release the fiberglass from material (im using masking tape, cardboard, and tinfoil) i heard that Pan cooking spray works, help would be good

Save yourself one headache and stay away from masking tape. It will cause such a headache and you will not want to finish the project. Anything that is plastic will release really well. I will get some info from my guy and I will make a post about doing fiberglass.

I did an enclosure in my bins and tire well. Put down the masking tape and then 77 spray adhesive to hold down your tinfoil. It works awesome. Don't try and put anythin bigger in the wells. I have 2 12's in mine, but they are made for very small enclosures. They are older (3 years) so they have reach their usfull life. I'm going to downsize to 2 10's when the money comes up.

Let me know if I can be of any help. Check my site.

John

teamafx - im not trying to have a negative attitude, but i have searched (yes some ppl use the search button without being told to ^^) and i see alot flames towards the concept of a enclosure in the bins ... so i just wanted to make it clear i didnt want negativity in the topic. Thats all. Will the cooking spray work on the cardboard though? or will the carboard absorb the cooking spray?

John64 - i will be using 2 10's in the bin area i think it will be ok... i did cut into the car alil so i have more room to work with (someone tell me how to post pics and i will) but i didnt cut much at all. As to what type of subs im using, im not completely sure. most likely it will be JL Audio since i am a big fan of their subs

You could have not even mentioned what you were creating for this topic and your question would have still come across without the ******* attitude.
