I bought a used HKS stainless steal catback and it is very tarnished and brassy-looking; very little surface rust but I cannot wipe it off. I tried to poloish it with a scotchbrite pad and neverdull. It shines up but the color is still ugly.
Is there a product or method to repolishing stainless steal?

most of the gold color is due to heat. i don't think you can get rid of it. i've scrubbed my apex exhaust a ton and it's still goldish

 

Yep, nothing you can do about that. My M2 exhaust brand new was polished to a mirror shine, but now has turned a darker bronze color. I think it looks good!
