PERFECT stock shift **** replacement

I think I found the perfect stock replacement shift ****. I used to have the 400 grams metal razo shift **** and I replaced it with the momo carbon shadow shift ****. It was a mistake because the heavier shifter felt alot better and shifted with ease. The only downside to the metal shifter is that it can get very hot or very cold depending on the weather.

I used to have this one.

I think the perfect stock replacement is this one because it's not metal, similar to stock style, and it's a weighted 400 grams shifter.

Right now I'm still contemplating on which shifter I want. I like the metal one but don't like the downside of it. Anyone using the second shifter now?

I like the mazdaspeed but it's not weighted. The heavier the **** the better/easier it is to shift. Especially when you need to 'shift mad quick yo'.

The Mazdaspeed is weighted and fills your hand nicely for when "you need to 'shift mad quick yo'." LOL!

I have the greddy ****. It's weighted, fits PERFECTLY in my hand, and I love it. Yes it gets real hot in the summer if I forget to cover it with a rag.

Didn't mazdaspeed have another leather shift **** without the gear pattern numbers on top and it had a nice thumb groove? it looked black and oem like the one above also.
if it wasn't a mazdaspeed, then does anyone know who makes it and what model it is? pic?

If you are tracking the car, or otherwise want to shift properly while aggressively driving, this means shifting using the top of the shifter only, and your hand is on the shifter for only a sec before back to the wheel.

The best shape for this is a completely round ****.

I have a round wooden one in my first gen that is sweet - right size, lightly textured, doesn't get hot in the sun. But failing that, the Voodoo **** the Miata guys all use is the best, and it's well weighted too.

I like the voodoo one as well but according to thier site < http://www.teamvoodoo.com/Voodoo/Applications.html >
it doesnt fit any of the RX-7's. How did you get it to fit?
do you have a short shifter? I didnt get it because its a screw
on there are no bolts that make universal?

let me know i will get one of these and try them out

Oye Taino: The Miata **** fits RX7's. Steve at A-spec has that **** and the e-brake handle. One problem: since they are metal, they are going to get very hot in the summer!

These are the weights for the teamvoodoo shift ****.

From direct weighings on the official Team Voodoo analytical balance (accurate to one gram)...

OEM Miata ****: 196 grams
Norman Garrett's MCA Shifter: 64 grams
Polished standard Miata Voodoo ****: 144 grams
Polished magnum Miata Voodoo ****: 173 grams
Polished pistol grip Miata Voodoo ****: 130 grams
Polished standard Miata Ti Voodoo ****: 237 grams
Polished magnum Miata Ti Voodoo ****: 282 grams

I was hoping for heavier ones. Because I REALLY liked the razi 400 grams ****. I guess I have to order another one.
