Refinishing a Faded CF Hood

Okay so after 2-3 years my CF hood is starting to fade, and crack. Guess VIS uses crappy resin, but don't charge a crappy price. Or maybe they just werent meant to be out in the sun.

Anyhow the upshot is, I am going to paint to match. It looks like some parts have gone hazy all the way to the CF, as well as being cracked in several places. What is going to give me a good basecoat that won't crack under flex? Should I just have it done with flex agent, like for urethane pieces, or is there something else?

Any advice would be appreciated.

PS did about half a dozen searches, didnt find anything.
