When Recaro made the rz seats, I imagine that they would have used an off the shelf mold for the seat bucket. Anyone know which style of Recaro would match up? I am looking for bolster protectors at perhaps a reasonable price.

Though it is a fair thought, you are false. The rz seats are asymmetric in order to avoid the transmission tunnel in the FD. Unfortunately Recaro has stated they are not making more of them, so your best bet is to find a good used set, then grab your ankles.

I do already have the seats, I am looking to repair and then protect the seat bolster.
That's why I am thinking that their must be a close match out there for just the outer seat bolster. Sadly I missed the great deal offered by Stillonjava on a set of covers.

RHDjapan lets you order replacement parts from mazda OEM such as the cushions, covers etc...i remember seeing they had the shells up there but bring lube as 65Imp suggests.

I have a friend who makes replica OEM recaro's for 911's and other higher-end models. One of these days I'll look into buying an original set and having him make some spare parts for the rest of us.

For buying JDM parts tho, i can wholehardtedly recommend you contact RX-7 Boutique. Had a very positive experience getting a Spirit-R cluster from them.
