rear speaker wires for non Bose conversion

rear speaker wires for non Bose conversion

Searched for the last hour or so and didn't really find an answer. Have a touring model with an aftermarket head unit, 6.5s in the doors, all Bose stuff long removed from the car. I've got base/R1 rear brackets to add rear quarter speakers. with the interior plastics removed, I did a quick look aorund the wire harnesses running along side the bins, underneath where the speakers will be and don't see any sign of factory speaker wires. Did mazda omit the rear quarter speaker wires in the touring, or are they somewhere else like where they would've attached to the Bose snake? Also saw some conflicting info on what colors the wires should be (if they even exist in a touring model)-- According to the diagram in the manual-- LR--Yellow/Green, Yellow/Blue; RR-- White/Blue, Blue/Yellow? TIA

I just did mine. 94 pep non bose driver side- is yellow and blue
Passenger side is blue and yellow.

That sounds right. I found them yesterday. Passenger side was easy to find, taped to the wire harness next to the bin. Drivers side took me a few extra mins, it was under the bin plugged into a harness that ran through the body and under the car. Must be why I couldn't find it at first.

On the '94 I'm working on we had 2 sets of "side harnesses" - one from a Bose car, one non-Bose. The Bose car didn't have the wires in the side harness AT ALL. Had to run new wires for the rear speakers.

Odd, in my 93 touring the wires are there, just need brackets and grilles $$$.
