Re-poll What color is your car.
After seeing the Ney Jersey bbq video I'm convinced that there are more Vintage Red Fd's than any other. So I'm running this poll again so deal with it and click your mouse on the appropriate answer. Thanks
Vintage red
Montego blue
Brilliant black
Compitition yellow mica
Silver(whatchamacallit)Silverstone metallic?
White...again I don't know the correct name.
I'm montego for about 1 more week then I will have Innocent blue mica. Please post pics along with your post if you have custom colors.

We already know Red is the most popular color. You don't need a poll. You can tell that by looking at the production numbers that have been posted at various places on the forum. Some cars have been repainted other colors by now, but there were so many red ones to begin with that color is still dominant. And virtually every book written about the FD had a red car on its cover. It's the color the FD was meant to be.

Nobody likes a know it all . Duh really I know there is no need to poll . I wanted to. That is what my thread states. All you had to say was that your car is red. No we didn't know that the most popular color is red. You knew that because you bother to look at production numbers. I do not. So I'm polling the crowd. Now step aside.

I'm just glad they never came out with Sandstone metallic/beige - favorite color of Honda Accord and Toyota Camry owners everywhere, hehe. (shudders just thinking about it)
The MB is not THAT bad. It's like black - needs to be clean, nice and waxed/shiny for it to look good. Let the upkeep slide, and it becomes blah.

I used to have a montego blue. If it is kept up it can look sweet. Needs alot of polishing and waxing. Swirl marks show real easy. Alot of them are faded and look shitty.

Noc Automotive Solutions in Bellville Nj did it. It was a pita. They cut out the hideous license plate holder and bonded in a piece of my original bumper. Then they reinforced the whole thing with alot of adhesise. Took alot of sanding and filling. It was this black gooey stuff, not sure what its called but I can find out. The whole thing is flexible so it should not crack or warp. I had to have it repainted because they rushed and some of the adhesive bubbled up. They are a great shop and stand behoind their work so they are fixing it for free. No new pics yet.

Over here in Japan Black is most popular then the white and so on. Mazda gave me a chart a while back of how many of each color they make every year, but I dont know where it went...

My series 1 was two tone silver and grey but in about a week I will be driving it out of the paint shop as an Evoultion Gold RX.
Just hoping it really does match the car well.
