Re-A or Evo-R Headlight Kit

this is addressed to any one with a Re-A or Evo-R Sleek Headlight Kit that is uninstalled or anyone that is willing to remove the headlight "bucket" for me.

I need to know how thick the leading edge is.

not a prob,

i need to know if you were to "pinch" the actual housing how thick it is.

(i appologize for this drawing (and no they are not *****))

i suspect it to be close to a 1/2 inch

You are speaking of the bucket, not the lens cover right?

The bucket is just fiberglass, I can't imagine its more than 1/4 inch (probably a little less). I'll check tonight.

if im not mistaken the bottom of the bucket is flat then a gap, then the visible (when installed) W shaped part.

There are some pics of the Evo R headlights on here. They did not get great reviews for fitment.

So the hump in the back of the bucket is 2", and tapers down to 1" in the front.

Your pic above is very exaggerated, by the time you get to the front, the hump is almost non-existent. So your red mark is just shy of 1".

i understand its exagerated, but in my defense im using ms paint my resources are limited, lol.

exhagerations aside it should be a fairly accurate shape if my under standing is correct. i just need to know if you were to pinch the front part of the "bucket" how far apart your fingers would be.

i think my design will look better if i am better able to use the available space. i like the lines of the evo-r/re a kit but i like the headlight set up of the c west. i want something the maintains the stock lines (evo) but that is less boring (c west) if that makes sense.

I think 1" is the measurment you are looking for. I'll ship you mine so you can make a mold of the bucket as long as they come back with your upgraded lighting set up

no joke, that is very tempting i am just not that far. my kit will prolly resemble the C6 Corvette lights. but i need to get another 7 first. i had one when i started the project. so i am looking to buy a new house soon, with a garage .

i would like some opinions it will definately be a hella projector for the low beam. but im not sure about the high beam. it will either be an other projector (not sure if it will be slightly larger or slightly smaller than the low beam), or a 90mm hella high beam (free form reflector) it will also come down to some fitment aspects.

im leaning toward both projectors high beams slightly larger than the lows, very similar to the C6, not sure though.
