Re-A or Evo-R Headlight Kit
this is addressed to any one with a Re-A or Evo-R Sleek Headlight Kit that is uninstalled or anyone that is willing to remove the headlight "bucket" for me.
I need to know how thick the leading edge is. http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/b...eadingedge.jpg |
I have a set of the chaser carbon fiber re headlight buckets i haven't installed. Fitment seems to be good so far.
Send me a pm tomorrow and i will get the measurement for you. |
I'll take a pic tonight (if i can remember) I've got them sitting in my kitchen haha.
Do I smell LED's on the way? |
These are the EVO-R's
5/8" is the width of that stripe on the bottom http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/PICT1155.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/PICT1158.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...s/PICT1156.jpg Sorry its blurry |

Also, Chudsoncoupe do you have more pics of those projector units? they look different than the evo-r projectors.

The bucket is just fiberglass, I can't imagine its more than 1/4 inch (probably a little less). I'll check tonight.

You are speaking of the bucket, not the lens cover right?

There are some pics of the Evo R headlights on here. They did not get great reviews for fitment.

im still on the drawing and clay model stage. ill take pics of the model tonight or tomorrow. |
So the hump in the back of the bucket is 2", and tapers down to 1" in the front.
Your pic above is very exaggerated, by the time you get to the front, the hump is almost non-existent. So your red mark is just shy of 1". |

So your red mark is just shy of 1". exhagerations aside it should be a fairly accurate shape if my under standing is correct. i just need to know if you were to pinch the front part of the "bucket" how far apart your fingers would be. i think my design will look better if i am better able to use the available space. i like the lines of the evo-r/re a kit but i like the headlight set up of the c west. i want something the maintains the stock lines (evo) but that is less boring (c west) if that makes sense. |
I think 1" is the measurment you are looking for. I'll ship you mine so you can make a mold of the bucket as long as they come back with your upgraded lighting set up :)

i would like some opinions it will definately be a hella projector for the low beam. but im not sure about the high beam. it will either be an other projector (not sure if it will be slightly larger or slightly smaller than the low beam), or a 90mm hella high beam (free form reflector) it will also come down to some fitment aspects. im leaning toward both projectors high beams slightly larger than the lows, very similar to the C6, not sure though. |
