Radio Delete

Hello,

What are some of the options to cover the stock double din openings if the radio is removed? Ideally, it would be one or two compartments... Is custom fabrication the only way to go?

Thanks!

Well what I did when I removed my radio and speakers from the car is. I took a soft piece of cardboard and measured out all the inside areas of where the radio used to be and put some carpet there to line the radio din hole. Its more like a giant oversize storage area for my wallet or keys or phone or pocket junks.

You have multiple options

Option 1:

Get 2 din pockets

Option 2:

Get one din pocket and a radio delete plate

Option 3:

Go to a radio shop and ask for a sheet of ABS plastic so you can make a entire blank plate, Some times they will make it for you, or just buy one already premade.

Option 4:

Get a din pocket and a din gauge holder if you want to go this route.

All this options can be found online, just Goggle them.

I used a sheet of scrap aluminum I had left for mine. You could paint it, have a design cut and backlight it, you could drill holes for gauges or show off pins from charity events.
