Will 2nd gen seats fit (without modification, or at least with very little modification) into a 1st gen?

 

I dunno about the USDM versions, but the JDM cars the drivers side is a direct swap out, uses the same seat rails too. the pasenger side needs some minor mods to fit.

Ok. We'll see if it gets anymore replies. I still need to wait for my tax return, but the seats are in great condition and only $150.

 

they will fit. i have a 79 rx7 with 92 rx7 seats that bolted right in with just the slightest mod on the seat. just widen one of the holes to slip in the bolt. i actually just took those seats out and put the originals back in to save weight. 2nd gen seats r heavier.

 

Well, I don't plan on running this car down Thunder Valley Raceway, but thanks for the info. Out of curiosity, what color were the ones you took out? J/K, I'm not paying for shipping!
