Just got my nardi wheel in and I am going to sell it, going to go with the nardi deep corn wheel. This came off a rx7 in japan with 4,000Km(2,500 miles), I honestly could sell this as new, it is beyond MINT. Price is 430 shipped + paypal fees. PM if you want it, will be in the forsale section soon. Kind of a reward for reading this thread, so you guys get first dibs

PureRx7 you should DEFINETLY go for Yamaha's Shift red. It would look hot during the day and night!

Yamaha Shift Red > Ferrari Rosso Fiorana

GO FOR IT!!! NOW!!!!

it looks X100 better than your present goldish red paint

Mmmmmmmmmmm, yummy. I think a spirit r cluster might be in order as well. Right now, I am focusing on completing the exterior and I just dont have the cash to dump $600-$900 on a cluster.

So you like the shift red? I feel like it looks kind of pinkish in the sun, something I want to stay away from?I need to find something not as pinkish, and I dont like rosso fiorano out of the light.

On another note, I have decided on using Re-Amemiya mirrors:

And seats, I am going to sell those recaro spirit r style seats, and get these, but get the silver part wrapped in CF.

I checked all the measurements and they will fit in the fd just fine, they are smaller than the bride gias.

No I think your mistaking Spirit R with RZ cluster. There are different from each other, Spirit R cluster is grey with green LEDs and Spirit R emblem in the Tach. RZ cluster is all white with no emblem and amber LEDs.

Spirit R cluster:

RZ cluster:

And about the Shift Red, you are probably getting that impression because of the picture, I would suggest you to pass by your local Yamaha dealership and check the bike by yourself to see if thats the color you want to go for. It looks good to me, and the pink in daytime its just and impression.

The original seats are porsche gt3 seats, which I believe are close to $5,000 EACH.

These are very well made with carbon fiber shells, very sweet and like I said, will not be an issue fitting into the fd, since it is actually narrower than the bride gias. What I am having them do is two things:

1. Use red stitching
2. Have the holes drilled a certain distance apart so I can use memory fab rails, I am basically going to give him the dimension of the holes on the recaro SPG seats I have for sale. So I will not need to modify or make any new brackets.

They are pretty steep, around $1700 +s/h + what-ever they charge me for stitching and custom drilling. I am hoping to get a refund as I will not need their rails, but I am going to need to shell out an additional $300 to $350 for memory fab or bride rails. All in all, will be around $2100, but they sure do look like they are worth it.

Looks great Carlos! Not really sure what you meant when you said our cars are pretty similar other than we both have feed sideskirts and craftsquare add-ons. Good luck on your project!

I knew that the spirit r cluster was silver, how-ever I was unaware that the back lighting was green, nice to know! I was digging around yamaha's paint codes, and on their bikes it seams that they used shift red until 2005, than after that they used a color called "candy red". You are 100% correct, I just need to go to a dealer and see them in the shade and in the sun. It is really tough to distinguish colors on the computer, I might just go around to a ton of dealerships and look around.

Spirit R and Series 8 both have amber lighting. Only series 7 has green backgrounds.

Color of background is different only. If you get the cluster, you probably want the RE-Amemiya 300 Km speedo.

No use reading to 110 mph.

Here's some of my recommendations for your interior plastics. Let me know if any catch your fancy, I'll give you info on where to purchase the material and get you in touch with someone good to wrap your parts. -Matt

Just go with Shift Red. Lambo Rosso Leto looks like just like your paint. Red with gold pearl, you stay away from that color. I told you just go for the Shift Red.

Pure,

The price you gave on the seats. . .is that each? If not, that price seems very reasonable.

Please post specs, if you're getting these custom built, you might be able to drum up a group buy, if you're interested in saving some $$.

Looking good.

Those prices are EACH brand new from porshce ($10,000 total), I am getting the seats pictured above which are very well made seats, just not recaro and not porsche OEM. They are $1400 for the pair. True carbon fiber shell.

Yah, I really like the shift red on that mkiv, especially when it was out of the light. We will see, paint is still a month or two away. It is so hard to tell the true color on a computer monitor.

Looking to seeing this finished B. I always have a great respect for how well thought out (and IMHO) tasteful your visual updates are.

Any thoughts on painting the interior plastics to match the exterior? It's been done before, it's tasteful and unifies the car's look. The silver parts of the new seats should finished to match the interior plastics to integrate them. As far as changing the cluster gauges, first consider matching the interior color scheme. Second, if you plan on incorporating after-market gauges, will they match? The new seats with the black carbon fiber shells allow you to add more of the same material to your interior. Be sure and match the weave patterns on all adjoining parts. Try to stay under three colors for the whole car. I'm also partial to adding the body color to the rims in places. Same goes for lug nuts and brake calipers. The black and tan interior is a proven but a well liked contrast. I still think the kevlar/carbon material for your interior plastics would bring your car's style up another level. Jason Strouss is making custom mats in the group buy section, now would be a great time to have him make you something with your own logo design. Also consider Redline goods for making you some custom leather or alcantara shift and brake boots. RhdJapan.com is selling the spirit-r shift ***** and brake handles with the red stitching if your interested.

Thanks Kevin! Hope all is well with your business and your-self, dont forget I still owe you lunch. A Gainesville meet is definitely in order in the next few months. I am hoping to have the car done by the end of February. I need to find a good bodyshop here in Gainesville.

I definitely like some of your ideas, my inside theme is going to be black and red. With the seats, I plan on wrapping the silver part in CF. Than going to have the door panels wrapped in black leather and red stitching. Followed up with spirit r shift ****, boot and e-brake. Going to re-paint the dash piano black and I am un-decided on the cluster. Black carpet, and all black mats with a red rx7 logo. Going to convert the rear plastics to black, and not sure why I am going to do about the tan headliner. Upgrading my current double din, apline w200 to a newer model or maybe even a double din eclipse unit, definitely going to stay with a double din.

Hey buddy. I honestly think that is going to be the toughest part of this project, besides financing of course. It is impossible to find a good shop here in Gainesville. I do not care about their body work as the car is perfect, I just need an exceptional painter. If I cant find anyone I like here in Gainesville or Alachua county, I am going to see how much Elite wants in Jacksonville. They are the best in NE florida, but I feel a bit out of my budget.

Elite has done some superior work but pricey...you do get what you pay for though. Can't wait to see it all said and done.
