Post pics of your painted FD interiors!!
Ok, yea I know there are other threads...Anyway... Im going to take my dash apart over the holiday and paint all my panels. Im debating what color to paint. Im torn between stock black, metallic black, gunmetal to match my wheels. Dark metallic charcoal and oh yea pink panther pink.
So please post away!!

I would keep it black.... but i'm not into anything fancy. If you notice, the stereo cutouts stick out too much compared to factory (unless you want to paint that too. Also, I prefer something that isn't glossy, cuz it doesn't allow the forearms to breathe or slide around much. I'd go with a matte texture.
Whichever you end up with, hope it works out soon so it'll be done @ SS6

well, my stereo is not stock and I got a custom din panel, and of course I have a 94 so everything is textured, so i dont think that will be an issue. I definately dont want too glossy, a few coats of clear should be ok.

There is Metallic Black. As you can see, when light hits it you see the metallic flakes. However, without light, it just looks black.
I like it a lot. It looks close enough to stock with just a slight enhancement. [/B]

What brand of paint is that? I originally did mine a year ago in like a steel silver, but after a year of working on it and such, it is starting to chip, so I am thinking of going back to black. But that looks like something I may be interested in.
Thanks

The primer I used was just standard sandable primer.

I'm actually in the process of painting mine as I write this. I decided to go with a dark gun metal gray color that Tamiya paint puts out. I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Oh dude...
Did you notice your steering wheel is on the wrong side? I'd get that fixed ASAP.

I used a putty knife to get some of the nasty coating off, then sanded the rest as best I could. I put about 2-3 coats of primer, 2-3 coats paint and 3-4 coats of clear.
