I just recieved my wheels from Japan this week.

Specs:

Front: 18x8.5 +40mm Tires: 235/40/18 Rubs plastic piece when turning hard. I suggest getting a 35 series. Possibly 245/35/18, which is what eastondle recommended me.

Rear: 18x9.5 +34mm Tires: 275/35/18 Fenders not rolled. Does rub fender when hitting bumps. Need to raise car 1/2-1 inch more. However, 265/35/18 might help.

oh......if you're going wide fenders in the front.......+30mm would be good. I will probablyl be sticking with stock fenders.

But are you saying that the front rubs with the wide fenders you have in the pics?

Can the plastic be removed and the car lowered some more with no problems? I ask because I'm getting the Burnout fenders, but I want the car a little lower than in the pics.

Im not sure what else lies behind the plastic piece that it might hit. Im trying to keep the plastic on to protect the wires etc.......... Im sure you can remove the plastic piece.

Wheels look Good, Ken. What company are they, Volk? In any case I can't wait to see what your car turns out to look like.

I don't remember who I talked to about this, but they removed the fender lining and ziptied the wires to the fender. They said there is a ridge or something you can tie them to so even when the suspension compresses (if God forbid the tire were to rub the fender itself) the wires would still be protected. That's what I plan on doing too.

I got my wheels in last night after 8 months of waiting. They turned out to be not exactly what I was wanting, but I guess they'll be ok. And one of them had a nick in it already, but they'll get messed up anyway so I'm not sweating it. I test fit them last night, and they come right to the edge of the fender, so I see some rolling and slimmer tires than expected in my future, haha.

But the wheels you got are sick - I've always loved those Enkei's. What sizes are you running? I know that wheel doesnt come in very FD friendly offsets

What do you mean they weren't exactly what you were wanting? Wrong wheels?

So you're the one we saw parked at the UC Davis parking lot. We were driving by one night and I saw this big supra wing, I thought it was a Civic at first but I looked a little harder and was like, 'hey, it's an FD'. Jdawg707 made a post in the west forum a while back asking who'se the red FD with the Supra wing in Davis but we got no reply.
