Polishing up my parts - I got an idea

Hi,

I am undertaking the weekend project of polishing my manifold, and i have bought all the bits and pieces to get it done. I just had a thought though. Has anyone ever thought of polishing their calipers?

I would love to see some pics of it done, or would like to know if it looks horrible so I don't do it :-)

What else is usually polished on the engine?

Cheers guys

Trevor

Not bad! I think I will do that instead of painting them. Thanks!

Its hard enough keeping the polished parts in the engine bay clean/polished(keeping it from tarnishing)
I would hate to see someone have to pull all wheels of the car just clean the calipers everytime they drove the car in the rain or in normal driving conditions for a few days.
Keeping polished parts clean is a bitch. Dont do the calipers. Either have them cromed or powdercoated or even painted

Another option would be to send the calipers to us and have a clear powder coat put on them. This will also work with any other polished parts, just the calipers would be the biggest concern. We clear coat almost all our polished pieces this way and it makes them stand up to the test of time amazingly better... just a thought.

Wouldn't Powder Coating them insulate them from properly radiating the heat generated from the barke piston/pads !?
