the only difference between a mazdaspeed and a momo hub as far as i can tell is the little airbag box and it has a larger hole for the clockspring. you can take care of the hole with a drill or dremel and i think you can take care of the airbags with a 1 ohm resistor. if someone in the bay area has the little box i can look at i will post the info here for everyone on how to make their own. oh yeah and the momo hub is $50, thats a big difference.

Why dont you just buy a universal they are even cheaper.

You dont need a MOMO hub for a MOMO wheel and a Mazdaspeed hub for a Mazdaspeed wheel ETC!!!

The only one that I heard wont bolt up to the universals is Sparco but I could be wrong

i wanted the mazdaspeed hub b/c it retains the horn right. couldn't care less about the airbag light. with the momo hub, does the horn work?

All hubs retain the horn, only the expensive MS one will keep you from getting the airbag light.

Yeah, but with some FD's, it's worth the extra $150 to take care of that $#&*!$ airbag light and sound easily.

I have the Momo Club 4 steering wheel on my FD and I'm using the 2nd gen Momo hub. The horn on my RX-7 works. Also, to get rid of the stupid air bag light, just pull the little light bulb, which will only take you 5 seconds to remove.

if you pull the light the airbag ecu will emit a continous warning tone. the solution to that is easy, rip out the airbag ecu. its on the firewall up and to the right of the gas pedal. now you can also remove all the sensors, theres 3 in the front bumper.

Yeah now you can just get a new car. DAMN if your going to tear it all out, I still think its worth a few extra bucks to not rip apart your FD for yourself, its next owner plus is a PAIN IN O REAR
