pioneer head unit
Does anyone k ow if pioneer head units have some type of anti theft system built in? Because i had to take mine out of the dash so i could take out my cd changer that was hooked up in the trunk. When i re-installed everything, the head unit wasn't getting any power. So after a while of checking over the wires, i finally determined that it just wasn't going to work. However i know its not the wiring, becuase the unit will beep if i press the function button or 1-6 keys. Any help would be appreciated.

Just a guess... Check the fuse in the joint box (the fuse box located near the pedals on the firewall) labled "room" or "dome". It should take a 10amp fuse. Pioneers have a backup batery in them, so this could explain it beeping, but not turning on.

Also, make *sure* it's not the wires. On my pioneer head, the power wires were mislabeled AND miscolored. I had to just test them all to see exactly what did what. Biggest pain in the ***, but i resoldered everything with my own color-scheme after that
