Just wondering how much wider is your car now? I tried searching and came up with 8.6 inches on veilside website and edmunds website says 11.8 inches. Which is it?

Great if your seats on the right side of the car. Not so good for US model left hand drive. The Razo mirror solves the problem nicely so I can maneuver through traffic without worrying if someone is in a blind spot to the right of me when I change lanes. I am going to take it out to the race track in a couple of months just to see how it really handles at speed.

heya dstrbdsht , my car will be out in a week, but fk there are a few things im really not happy with.

1) the side mirrors are fking ridiculous, they look like they took the glass out of some 2nd hand bathroom mirror , cut it out and glued it on.. + its not even electrical!
I took my original side mirrors to a plastic moulder and shaped it near the shape of the veilside ones and they came out 10000x better (ill post pics tomorrow)

2) fking gas tank door! OMG! ppl on the street can open my gas tank door and put sugar in my engine if they wished lol, and the clip that holds the gas tank door... (no comment) ..
I solved this by installing a sparco key entry gas door (post pics tomorrow)

3) rear hatch .. i had 20+ people including my panel shop owner tell me the original rear hatch matches better with the overall flow of the car , again post pics with the origian hatch tomorrow

yyng, that's funny spending 10k on a body kit and not using the mirrors or hatch? I love the kit but that seems a little odd. I was wondering how they would do the side mirrors and the fuel tank door. Can you even adjust the side mirrors at all even though they don't use any electronics? Someone said since the kit is for rhd fd's the mirrors don't work too well. Atleast if you could position the angle, who changes it anyway after it's set correctly once unless you have another driver. Could a manual swivel be installed?

As for the fuel tank door, I take it none of the door release mechanism works with it and it's just a simple non-locking hinge? Atleast you can get a locking cap like what you did. As for the hatch, are you saying just for the looks the stock hatch is better? Or is there a quality/fitment issue with the Veilside one?

1. agreed on the mirrors, to make it worse, they are for right hand drive cars so are worthless in a US FD. I like the look so since I am the only driver, I am going to cut new mirrors and mount them in the VS mirrors at the proper angle so I can see. In the meantime, I use a convex Razo rear view mirror that covers my back and right side and look out the left when I change lanes to the left.
2. I am going to move the gas tank door to the top of the fender on mine and re-route the filler so I don't have to carry a hose around to get gas in it.
3. I like the VS rear hatch.

The body kit is wide enough to prevent a normal gas pump nozzle from even reaching the filler port?

That is correct. I carry a piece of 5/8" hose about 12 inches long with the top to one of those 1 or 2 gallon gas cans you find in the gas stations around here pushed into the hose so it makes a small funnel that fits the gas nozzle. Works perfect. Thats why I haven't been in a hurry to change the gas filler design. The door Veilside supplies with the kit, although cheaply done, works fine for me. I don't worry about someone trying to dump something in the tank because I do not leave the car out of my sight long enough for that to happen. I drive this car when I want to drive, not when I want to go to a bar, movie, or go shopping.

I'm not a fan of body kits, but damn, that's pretty hot. If only it was 1 tone instead of two!
