Damn, way to dig up a dead thread ...
I'm happy with my sub. Still using the OZ. I changed the Aura 6 channel to an Aura MR-4150Q. It's a 4x100 instead of 6x50. The two rear channels bridge to 330 for the sub, so that poor little OZ is getting pounded like never before! I thought it was loud before, it wil literally make your ears bleed now.

Aight man, I have a favor or two. I was wondering if you could tell me three things:
1. What are the sizes for all the speakers in the vert, since I am looking to replace them, not really add more, especially since I was told the stock door ones are so crappy.
2. Is there any way to still run the headrest speakers with a non stock head unit? I know you state that you don't miss em, and it may be a gimick, but I really like them and they are a unique part of a convertible.
3. Do you have a wiring diagram of the convertible that I could steal from you to give to my friend who is gonna do my install for me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!!

1) Stock are 6.5" ers. Actually, probably more like 6" speakers. Then there's the pointless 4.5" speakers behind the seats, and the telephone-esque headrest speakers.
2) Screw the headrest speakers. It's impossible to get a good sounding speaker in there, and they only screw up imaging. Trust me, just get a good component set and give it plenty of power. You'll never miss the headrest speakers.
3) Not in an electronic format. Surely somebody has one oneline somewhere. As in the 2nd gen forum.

Ahhhhh... the thread that would not die....
If you really, really must have the headrest speakers, the amp is located in the spare tire area, behind the driver's seat. Everyone I've seen that runs them with their aftermarket stereo simply patches into the wires at that location. They are 4 ohm speakers, so they run just fine off your deck. I'm still trying to decide on my sub placement in my 91vert, but basically my door speakers will have the front channels of a 4 chan amp, the rear chans will be bridged to one 10", and the deck amp will run the headrest speakers.

Hi, that setup looks pretty good. I was wondering if you had any problems with the spare tire cover over the subwoofer. I used to have a convertible (I wrecked it a few months ago) with a truck-style box laying flat where the spare tire was (I cut the spare tire support out) and the cover vibrated horribly so I ended up cutting a hole for the sub to breath through.
I just bought a new convertible and am about to start the process over agian. I'm thinking about a subwoofer setup similiar to yours, just wanted to know how the spare tire cover handles the bass underneath it.
