I know what he is getting at, and he didn't mean a pure silver, or "mirrored" film. He was referring to a neutral, full metal film. Some are more reflective than others, so be careful what you get if you do take this route because a pure silver film on a car looks like ***, so if you do this make sure the reflectance of the film is in the 10-12% range (the reflectance, not the VLT), as anymore will just give it the "mirrored" look. A neutral full metal film does indeed look bad *** on dark colored vehicles, especially red and black.
you got it. a pure "high dollar" metal film. i searched for photos but they were too old and the forum lost them.
the tint was leagal at 28% but looked lower because of the reflection.

I was trying to find some pics of work I had done on black cars with metal films, but I have yet to find the ones I am looking for. I have so damn many that they are burried somewhere on a disk or on my computer.
There's that black FD I tinted..Looks good man, well of course it does because I'm the one who worked on it.
Already did! Gonna get it done as soon as pick my car up from the shop. They are only charging me 220 for all windows! Which i think is great, I will post pics up next week after its done.
