Parts back from powdercoating *pics*
Just thought I'd share some pics of certain parts I had powdercoated by Scott Nagler (aka rotarysc on this forum and raspyrx7 on teamfc3s). I had Scott sand blast and powdercoat all the parts wrinkle black.
Everything came out great! Metal scarring, flat spotting, and pitting was all removed and every part had a consistant textured finish. On top of all that Scott's customer service was great, he kept me up to date of progress and answered all my questions promptly (in a matter of hours normally). I also forgot to remove the double throttle from the manifold (has a plastic sleeve and rubber bushing that needed to be removed) and Scott was nice enough to remove it at no additional cost.
Scott's contact info is on his site www.realcoatings.com. If you are considering having your parts coated you can see further examples of Scott's work and a break down of his pricing, which is very competitive, on his site.
And now for the pics of my parts...

Here's some more pics. Notice the deleted casting ridge on the manifold, makes it look a lot better IMO.

I was also getting anxious to put the car back together and didn't want to lose more time . But if you know someone who can reassemble a TB near me let me know as I will eventually want to coat that as well.
me too, thats the only thing thats stopping me from doing my polished uim/tb swap, is ruining the perfect idle.
but since my idle got funky 2 nights ago, i might as well do it right? but the thing is that it only happened that night, today it seemed fine, idk what the hell is wrong..

Hey baller-boy... the parts look great man. Flows very well w/ the factor plastic pipes You need to grab one of those unpolished Efini pipes and have 'em powdercoated too...
But yea...even though I'm not a fan of black engine bay pieces, I think it's lookin real good. Looks mean!
Nice PFS SMIC ya got there too Gotta powdercoat that thing too...it's messing up your gothic look w/ all it's bling!

slap on some black couplers and take care of that intercooler and it will look great.
i personally wouldnt powdercoat the intercooler. might want to consider that special black paint that you can get from eastwood company. its made to go on radiators and that kind of stuff without affecting heat transfer.

Did I mention that Scott's site is realcoatings.com which includes samples of his work, price break down and contact info?
