Painting Engine Bay

I pulled the motor to install an oil pan and brace and decided it would be smart to save some money on my paint job and do the engine bay while it was empty. I should have it primered this weekend. I'll post some before and after pics.

-oh, and if anyone wants to know or cares it is going from brilliant black to sonic blue

Take your time prepping, it'll all be worth it. I spent a week prepping, and about 30 minutes painting. Came out great from a engine fire disaster

Doing the engine bay at home, going to have the rest done in a booth.

I'm not rushing the prep. thats for sure, I know thats what really makes the paint job. I was pleased to see that it wasn't as dirty as I had thought it was.

nice to see it being done right and not cutting corners, color changes without the bay done is just lame. good job!
