Paint and Wheel Question

First I was wondering where you guys order your paint from for the japanese only colors. Do you get it through Mazda or just ask the body shop and have them order it?

Second what wheel style do you think would look best for either 99spec or cwest (Im not sure what I want yet) Im looking for a bronze or gold 18inch. But not like chrome gold bling ****. I like the bronze OZ superlegras that are on the subaru rally car. Any one got a picture of these on an FD?

Any input will help

Thanks

Yeah but where do I get them from. If I go up to the body shop and tell them I want IBM blue it might end up being the IBM computer company color and I dont want that. Plus it will be cheaper if I bring them the paint.

You just have to give them the paint code, it's been posted on the forum many times.

Then I suggest asking on a Nissan board for the paint code.

Open your phone book (or go to Yahoo's 'Yellow Pages') and look up automotive paint suppliers. Go to your nearest one and ask to look at their color books, and you'll find more shades of purple then you'll know what to do with. Your fav body shop should have paint books as well, though they likely will not have the assortment that a good auto paint supplier will have.

Nobody 'stocks' a particular color, the industry does not work that way. You give them a paint code and their computer mixes a base color with color additives (and metallic flakes if it calls for it) to get the color you are looking for. If they don't have the J-spec codes in their computer, I'm sure you'll find something close in their color books.

So I can just give them the paint code and they mix up the paint. What if I want to paint it myself (I want to but I dont know if Im up to it). How do I go about obtaining the paint. If I go up there and look throught the books and find a color can I just buy it from them?

What kind of paint do you reccommend? Acrylic, Laquer, somthing else??
