I just recently purchased a 93 FD and the paint is in generally good condition. Doesn't need a repaint but, there r some scratches (some deep, some mild) and chips where time and accidents have taken there toll. I was wondering how I could fix it and make it look cherry taking into consideration I dont have more than $300-$400 to spend on paint restoration. Plz HELP ME!!!!

its possible to have parts of the car painted and match your original paint. it wont cost u a bundle.

 

you may have to have the car painted again

 

I think he was giving you a friendly bump to the top so other people could respond to your question....

how deep are your scratches? Can you use a fine cut polish and polish them out?

Chips are harder...

From the other post that you had in the 3rd gen section, I think I would spend my money on those parts first then approach the paint later....

polish/wax aids maybe the cheapest way to go...
