Very nice. I like the effect. Are the yellow flashes LED as well?

I think they look good.. Just 99 converted/spec right? How'd you get the little "halo" type things in them? Any more info on these?

edit* I guess I'm "light dumb"... Thought they were LED's but wasn't sure. And I don't think they look much different from other 99 spec conver.

i should have mentioned that before. both brake lights and the turn signal are all LEDs. thats how the halo effect is achieved.

Please be gentle, eh? Alright. IMHO they suck. I prefer the "solid" stock round lights.

It's not change that people hate here, it's ugly things.

I don't think the halo lights really work well with the FD. They look better when the brake is applied, but still somewhat odd. Although that may be more of an effect of the camera than the lights.

I appreciate the work and effort that was put in to them but I do think they are not good looking. They remind me of halo lights on bmw's but those shoudl remain on the front of the cars.

I'd have to agree, that while the work invested payed off, I personally prefer the subtle/OEM look of the 99spec lights best.

They are alright, actually this idea was out a LONG time ago. They are ok, but really with that amount of light, you need it to be LED, they look stock to me with black circles placed in the middle (im I wrong?) but really tail lamps are tail lamps. The circles were the newer style 96+ and they look much cleaner then the 92-95 version hints why they are so popular, but no need for any improvement really, good idea if you did come with it on your own, just try moving your ideas to other parts of the car.

Constructive Criticism...

The Halo seems to dim to me.. I'd be afraid that someone wouldn't see me until it's too late on a dark road... with oncoming traffic blinding someone...

I'm thinking that the intensity of the halo, should be same as the brake lights, but instead of just the halo, turn on the center leds, as well but at 1/2 intensity, then when the brake is engaged, double the intensity of the center to match the ring...

That might even satisfy the "purists"

7-sins/dcrosby: the halo can be made brighter. i was trying to match the intensity of the stock running lights.

jtimports: yeah it kinda looks like 99s with a black circle in the center, but its not. if you look at the rest of the pics youll see the center lights up for the brake light.

i could also have the entire circle dimmed as a running light instead of rings.

and dcrosby your idea is interesting and would not be difficult to implement. i think ill try it with photoshop first.

I'm diggin the halo thing. But definitely bring the brightness up to whatever would be considered full strength. As far as the turn signals, can you get those as a halo/circle too?

Then the circle will be complete.....
