Did Shell think that ruining an awesome car would translate into good advertising?

They were probably impressed by the huge crowd around the car when they first showed it, but as the crowd dispersed all of the vomit became visible.

Ok, Ok, now I am going to kick some booty.

Party bags may be an additional option I'll have to incorporate. Maybe - just maybe - I have been doing a little too much crack lately.....

Here's the long range picture, where's the closeup?

I want pictures, damnit!!!

Oh ya, thats the Apexi model. That's funny, and I've been told that FD's run horrible on shell gas and to never use it lol. good luck on finding that BTW. I've never seen it.

'Mustard' maybe? Along as it's not bright/neonish or too plain/dull. Yellow shade is one of those colors that you probably have to get just right, or looks like crap. Material texture will be important to. Vinyl or leather would not be good IMHO, but a nice Alcantara would be nice.

Probably best to use it sparingly, like just the headliner, a-pillars and seats or seat inserts, and contrast it with black. I normally do not like extreme contrasts like this, no thanks to the rice import scene. Elicits a negative reaction down deep, like green jelly beans I was traumitized with as a child.

I would not do it, too risky.

Also, the Apexi FD is more of a maroon, so that conservative color may work with a yellow interior. Harder with a bright exterior like VR IMHO.

Heres a CYM with yellow interior..

Too bright, IMO

if you are going for a painted interior, the best ive seen is a silver-like or a dark grey like Gordon has done

Thanks for the pic! I am thinking maybe 4 small perforated yellow nubuck "ribs" in the lumbar and butt area of the seats, regular nubuck on the center console and the steering wheel with a nice embossed Mazda logo in the center. (and maybe a few other "touches" like shifter boot and e-brake boot, and the perimeter of the carpets.) Everything else stays black.

I am talking BRIGHT yellow, not mustard. Hmmm. maybe red stitching too. My thought is the nubuck would "soften" the initial shock of the color. It would be unique - one of those hate it or love it schemes. The whole trick is to avoid "rice" by using really high quality materials and tastefull application of color accents.
(I sound like a friggen' flamer designer. YO!)
And the crowning touch - a yellow bra! MUAAHHH HA HA!!!

I don't think I could handle the entire interior in yellow - it would be blinding...........

Damn, I really like that front end.

Come to think of it, there was a factory Viper in Red, with yellow wheels if I remember correctly...
