NR white face gauges (write-up)

I have just got done completing my write up on installing the NR auto white face gauges. You can find the complete write-up on my website:

White Face Gauges Installation

I have added some pictures and some commentary on the things I did to install these gauges. Here is a pic of my current interior including the PowerFC mount as sold by cavellm on the forum.

In case some of you are wondering about my a-piller gauges, they are the older Blitz EL 60mm gauges. The are electronic boost and EGT.

Are those indiglo type gauges? Meaning do they light up blue at night or do they still look black with orange numbers?

Also how much did they set you back? They look sweet. I'm jealous.

Man I'm an idiot. I guess I should have looked at your post before I posted and comments. Sorry. No disrespect. I love your gauges I can't stop looking at them.

They are orange and I got them on E-bay for a right price. Actually I lost the auction, but then e-mailed the guy who beat me saying I was taking a nap, true story, and he let me buy them. I needed them to match my Blitz gauges that I've had for a year.

Just did this same mod. The tach needle rubbed and a dremel was used to make a groove for it to pass without getting hung up. The stock gauge faces have an indention at that point. SO to be sure you dont have to take out the gauges several times you can look at the stock faces where the indent is on the tach and mod the white face to accomidate the needle.

Terrific writeup Carson. Here is a thread with my NR Auto White face install, where I did it a little differently, along with how I changed the back light color to a nice red. Add it to your writeup page if you'd like:

I'll have to dig around, but I think I have the higher res pics somewhere. Let me know if you need them.

Daniel: You know I remembered you writing some stuff up and posting, but I couldn't find any of it when I was searching?? Anyway, I might do that mod to the tach next time I have them out. I like the red because it is different. Now I have to make a choice .. did I mention I hate choices? I'll add your write up to mine .... added with permission*

I've had those guages in my car since 96 and they look great, I did go through 2 tachs before I got it right though, hehehehe. On a side note, the NR guages match the 93 guage style with the small markings in between the points, they don't have the 94-up ones that don't have those small little marks, just a bit of info for you guys.
