Question No sound after replacing head unit?

I just replaced my factory head unit with a pioneer 9300. I got it to power up and everything works but the sound. I have a '93 touring with the bose speakers and yes I ordered the Scosche adapter from Crutchfield. I installed this myself and all the connections are right but there is no sound. Any clues on why I have no sound?

I had the same problem before. You have to rewire one of the wires from one position to another on the adapter. Sorry but i dun quite remeber which color wire since it's been a couple of years since i had to do that to get it to work.

Mine is an 86 N/A so I have no experience with your car. Just a suggestion, but if you do a search on the posts by 'Icemark' you might find your answer. He's quite knowledgable on the subject of sound, in most years I believe, and has probably posted which wires need to be dealt with.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO REWIRE:

What's happening is your deck isn't turning on your Bose amps, hence no sound.

ur right busy...i bought regular wiring harness from circiut city $17. attach all the wires, the trick is to attach the blue wire from the cd player (which may read anntena or remote on it) to the blue wire from the harness which reads amp turn on. i done this after every audio shop told me teh aftermarket cd player wouldnt work with the bose wiring.good luck, brad

Take a peak at the wiring diagram I have up. I have circled the wire that must be bridged over to ignition or some type of radio turn on wire power. Do NOT connect it to straight power. Otherwise the amps will constantly stay on and kill your battery.

This is what I did as well and it will work. Connect your remote from your cd player with the remote on the car harness. You can do this really easy with a T-clamp.
